Peter Dugan

As a clay artist, I strive to bring the clay bodies alive. What I mean about that is for the clay to be expressed or fired in a way that the surface comes “alive” with color, texture and light. This is why I love to fire with soda because it brings life and a certain “lusciousness” to the surface. However, its the firing that really matters. I work with the kiln to create these expressions, which is the source of my inspiration.
